Our work and advocacy

AAI develops a variety of resources and educational materials; organises workshops and seminars across Australia; and continues to work with government departments to develop guidelines on recognising, managing and the emergency treatment of anaphylaxis in preschool and school settings. AAI also works with Food Standards Australia New Zealand, the Australian Food and Grocery Council, the Allergen Bureau and state health departments in educating those in the food manufacturing and food service industries.  We also provide advice and expertise to those who enforce the Food Standards Code.

AAI has developed many help sheets and discussion papers to assist with managing the risk of anaphylaxis that arise in day to day living with severe allergies.
