The Vege Chip Company Pty Ltd is expanding its recent consumer level recall of Vege Chip products due to the possibility that other varieties may also contain gluten. Some of the above products may have an incorrect gluten free claim on the label. The company initiated testing of all its products and found that whilst some varieties are gluten free some varieties contain a very low level of gluten (between 20 - 80 parts per million). Most people with a gluten intolerance can tolerate this low level of gluten and could consume these products. However, those who are extremely sensitive to low levels of gluten or have a gluten allergy should not consume these products. |
