Duration: 1.5 hours workshop to learn and/ or update your knowledge about caring for someone who is at risk of anaphylaxis.

Suitable for parents, carers and teachers.

• What is anaphylaxis?
• What causes anaphylaxis?
• The main food triggers
• Strategies to reduce the risk of a reaction including allergen minimisation
• How to recognise the signs and symptoms
• The importance of good communication between parents & carers
• Management procedures
• Emergency treatment including EpiPen® administration
• Dealing with bullying, discipline and psychological affects
